The minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesome WIke has called on those abusing the Abuja master plan to withdraw as soon as possible.

Wike disclosed this while making his first address as the FCT minister in Abuja on Monday.

“All those distorting the master plan of Abuja, too bad. If you know you have built where you’re not supposed to build, it will go down.”

According to Wike, irrespective of status or position in society, everyone must follow the original plan and stick to it.

“Those who have taken over the green areas to develop, sorry. The green areas must come back, if you hate green then it means you hate yourself.”

The minister added that all allocated lands must be developed within a period of time, or else the land will be revoked and given to those who are ready to develop.

“Nonpayment of ground rent is a bridge of covenant, I don’t need to write you to pay. It is something that should be done willingly. I will not be tired to revoke because part of the Abuja revenue comes from ground rent.”
